Melissa Grippa received a bachelor's degree from Siena College in 2013 with a major in Political Science and a concentration on Law. Ms. Grippa received her JD from Touro Law Center in 2016, and was admitted to practice in the State of New York in 2017.

As a law student, Ms. Grippa interned with the Nassau, Suffolk and Queens County District Attorney's Offices, where she was able to assess and communicate plea deals on criminal cases. She was also afforded the opportunity to intern under the Honorable Mark Cohen, an acting Supreme Court Justice, in the Cohalan Court Complex, in Suffolk County New York. At this time, Ms. Grippa worked alongside Judge Cohen drafting motions and observing criminal trials.

Since admission, Ms. Grippa has practiced in the areas of traffic law and criminal law, making appearances in various traffic courts throughout the State, as well as the Queens County Criminal Court.
